Bradley classes online taught by a couple, interactive & comprehensive
Please reach us at born2birth@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our Bradley® birthing classes cover a range of topics, including stages of labor, the role of the partner during the pregnancy and labor, pain management techniques, positioning for labor and birth, designing the your personal birth plan, advocacy, and newborn care. A unique feature of Bradley® classes is helping the coach to be an active participant in the labor and birth. Our Bradley Method® classes are unique because we have an experienced dad/husband/coach who teaches.
Jeff and Karen took the Bradley Method® training in 1996. We have been teaching Bradley® classes for over 25 years and have personally used the techniques taught in the class to give birth to our 9 children. Each year we reaffiliate and have attended many conferences, workshops, and trainings. We continue learning by attending trainings each year.
We welcome experienced couples. Many couples take our classes who would like to learn information so that they have a birth experience that fits individualized birth plan.
The ideal time to start prenatal classes in the second trimester, around 20 weeks gestation. However, check your schedule and sign up for the classes that work best for you.
Yes, our Zoom invitation works for both of you. Many couples who are not in the same location or state attend our classes on separate devices.
Yes, we do record the classes and send them to anyone who cannot make the live class. Two weeks after the series end, the recordings are deleted.
We teach live, interactive classes. We strive to make them as close to being in person with the exception of the convenience of not driving anywhere to get to class. Sometimes couples choose to be off camera for instance when they are eating. We prefer that you have your cameras on because it makes the class better.
Since we switched to live, online, virtual classes we have had couples in our classes from over 30 states. We had also had couples from outside the United States including Canada, India, Israel, and Uganda. Please check if our live classes are compatible with your schedule and time zone.
Expectant couples from around the nation attend our virtual classes. We have taught in North Carolina, California, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Karen has a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University and a M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University. Jeff has a B.S. from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Columbia University.
Karen teaches classes with her knowledge of laboring and giving birth to 9 babies. Jeff gives the perspective of husband, coach and father. We are experienced birth advocates.
Through childbirth education, you can feel empowered by understanding the process of birth, the choices you have, and gain the confidence to advocate yourself.
